At It's Our Planet Too, we’re on a mission to inspire planet-friendly play

We create thoughtful, ‘stuff-free' activity kits designed to reduce waste and make a positive impact.

We believe caring for the planet can start with the little things we do at home. That’s why our activity kits are designed to be powered by what families already have — using simple, paper-based ideas instead of lots of extra 'stuff'.

Our kits are designed to spark big ideas without creating more waste. By using everyday items families already have at home, we reduce unnecessary materials while showing children that creativity, curiosity and caring for the planet can go hand in hand.

As a small business, we’re committed to making thoughtful choices wherever we can — sourcing locally where possible, reducing waste, and using eco-friendly packaging. We also believe education is a powerful tool for change, and we love helping families discover small ways they can make a difference too.

None of us can change the fate of the planet alone, but when families, communities and small businesses all take small steps together, the impact can be huge.

How do we support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals?

The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to education and climate change.

Set out below is how It’s Our Planet Too strives to meet the 3 main goals that are relevant to our organisation; Quality education, Responsible consumption and production and Climate action.

Goal 4: Quality education

Goal 4 from the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals is all about ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Education for sustainable development
At It’s Our Planet Too, we provide interactive, eco-friendly subscription and activity kits with captivating content to teach little eco heroes about the key principles of sustainability. We encourage them to be kind to the world around them for now and to help protect their future.

Equal access
Many of our resources are available to download for free, so that children who do not attend school can also learn about their environment and the effects of their actions. As a social enterprise, we are proud to distribute our kits to children who may not receive any eco education.

Gender equality and inclusion
By providing our tool kits without regard to gender, It’s Our Planet Too ensures that both boys and girls have access to environmental learning, helping to eradicate gender disparities in education and fostering inclusion for children in vulnerable situations. This enables us to have an organisation that is gender, child, and disability sensitive.

Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production

Goal 12 from the UN’s Sustainable Goals for Development is to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

Sustainable materials
At It’s Our Planet Too our packaging is 100% plastic-free, recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable. This packaging choice reduces pollution, safeguards ecosystems and wildlife, and has a lower carbon footprint than other traditional materials. Sustainable consumption is truly at the heart of It’s Our Planet Too.

Recycling and resource utilisation
Our packaging choice makes our tool kits 100% sustainable and recyclable. We also actively promote reuse and borrowing among our customers, reducing waste, and reducing the demand for new resources. The majority of activities within our tool kits can be done with items readily available in the home, garden or even in the recycling box!

Eco printers in local communities
We use local eco printers as they offer a greener and more sustainable printing option compared to traditional printers, aligning with efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our everyday business operations.

Promoting sustainable consumption
By offering eco-friendly products, encouraging resourcefulness, and engaging with local and sustainable suppliers, we actively promote a more sustainable and responsible approach to consumption among our customers and within our community.

Goal 13: Climate action

Goal 13 from the UN’s Sustainable Goals for Development is to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Eco-friendly product development
Our tool kits play a crucial role in instilling environmental awareness, values, and actionable habits in families. We are able to do this through fun activities and games, whilst also maintaining a commitment to keep our products eco-friendly and sustainable.

Ethical marketing and educational commitment for climate consciousness
With a steadfast commitment to ethical marketing practices across all communication channels, we support and promote eco-conscious consumer behaviour. We place a strong emphasis on sustainability education by offering engaging, interactive learning experiences that drive environmental awareness and action.

Recognition and memberships
We have active participation in ethical communities like Good Market and Social Enterprise UK that foster climate-centric business initiatives and we are committed to pursuing B Corp certification in the future.

Commitment to responsible practices
We are dedicated to improving processes and supply chain transparency and we believe that this is pivotal in incrementally reducing the overall environmental impact. We keep a firm policy of exclusively sourcing from and collaborating with brands and suppliers aligned with our vision for a more equitable and sustainable future.
