Bring your environmental commitments to life

Help children, families and communities explore the environmental issues your organisation cares about - through creativity, play and practical action.

With It’s Our Planet Too, you can fund eco activity kits for schools and community groups, or explore a bespoke programme built around your sustainability priorities.

  • Fund discovery in schools and communities

Help children access creative environmental learning by funding existing Tool Kits for schools, clubs or community groups. Choose themes that reflect your priorities and discuss the places and people you would like to reach. Resources can be used with groups of children, helping your budget support shared learning.

  • Create a kit around your environmental priority

Explore a bespoke or co-branded Tool Kit that makes an issue relevant to your organisation accessible to children. From energy and waste to biodiversity, food and oceans, build a programme with a clear connection to what your organisation cares about.

  • Bring eco discovery into employees’ homes

Use Tool Kits within employee family initiatives, corporate gifting or sustainability campaigns, giving colleagues and their children something practical to explore together.

Case study

An energy priority, brought to life for children

Centrica’s Energy for Tomorrow programme funded the development and delivery of 'Switch It Off', a Tool Kit exploring the fascinating world of energy; where it comes from, how we use it, and why switching off matters.

Kits were distributed to local schools and, to low income families in Brighton, via Chomp - a charity providing hot meals during the school holidays.

The programme connected an organisation’s interest in energy with practical environmental education and distribution through schools and a local charity.

  • The focus

Energy education and everyday action, with a focus on the positive. Packed with practical tips and hand-on activities.

  • What funding enabled?

Kit development, school and community distribution and holiday workshops.

  • Who received it?

All local primary schools and low income families, via a Brighton charity.

“It's Our Planet Too is an innovative and engaging way to inspire young people to think differently about energy. We're proud to support a project that helps the next generation understand their role in shaping a more sustainable future.”

A partnership that makes sense for your organisation

  • Connect your priorities with practical activity

Choose from more than 20 environmental themes, or explore a bespoke approach. Give children and families a way to participate in the issues your organisation cares about.

  • Take the conversation beyond the workplace

Hands-on, screen-free activities give families something to make, discover and discuss together, bringing environmental engagement into everyday life.

  • Let the materials reflect the message

Tool Kits are paper-based and plastic-free, printed on recycled paper, and designed and made in the UK. Activities largely use materials found at home, in the garden or recycling box.

  • Support a business built around purpose

It’s Our Planet Too commits to giving 50% of profits back to good causes. Your partnership supports a social enterprise alongside the programme you fund.

Understand the difference you want to make

A meaningful partnership starts with a clear idea of the difference you want to make. It’s Our Planet Too’s Theory of Change* maps how environmental knowledge and a connection with nature can help children build confidence, take achievable action and develop lasting care for the planet. It gives you a starting point for agreeing your programme’s intended outcomes and how progress could be assessed.

Our Social Impact Survey offers encouraging evidence of parts of this journey, showing how environmental messages can spark awareness, family conversations and motivation to act:

  • 82% of respondents felt more aware of environmental issues

  • 73% reported talking to their children about the environment after seeing It’s Our Planet Too’s messages

  • 71% felt inspired to make small lifestyle changes

These findings help illustrate the potential for environmental engagement to reach beyond the child and into family life. They provide a foundation to build on - while your partnership’s own outcomes and measures would be agreed around the children, families or communities you want to support.
