Imagine if every child believed that they have the power to protect our planet... That's our vision.

It may sound ambitious in the face of today’s environmental challenges — but we believe change begins with children. Nurturing environmental awareness early lays the foundation for a more conscious, resilient and sustainable future for everyone.

  • The challenge

Too many children grow up feeling disconnected from nature and unsure how they can help. Environmental issues are often presented as overwhelming or frightening, leaving children feeling powerless instead of hopeful. Without positive, hands-on experiences, they miss the chance to build the habits, confidence and sense of responsibility that inspire lifelong care for our planet.

  • Our response

AtIt’s Our Planet Too, we empower children to become eco-heroes through fun, accessible, engaging environmental activities. Through hands-on activities and practical climate learning, we help families build everyday eco habits, nurture confident changemakers and spark a ripple effect of sustainability in their communities.

Theory of Change

At It’s Our Planet Too, we use a Theory of Change to explain how and why our work leads to meaningful environmental impact. It helps us stay focused on what truly matters: not just creating great activity kits, but creating lasting shifts in children’s attitudes, confidence, and behaviour. It is essentially the roadmap to help us achieve our vision.

By mapping the journey from early learning to long-term environmental stewardship, our Theory of Change guides the design of our Tool Kits For Eco Heroes, it strengthens our accountability, and ensures our work is evidence-based, intentional, and scalable whilst still providing little planet protectors with hours of sustainable fun!

The next steps

At It's Our Planet Too we help children feel empowered not overwhelmed, building real emotional connections to nature and endangered animals. As their curiosity is turned into action, here are some of the things that children might want to do next...

  • At home

Ask parents to recycle, reuse, or reduce plastic. Turn off lights or taps without being reminded. Reuse paper, boxes, and packaging for crafts. Talk about endangered animals... A lot!

  • At school

Share facts with friends or teachers. Suggest eco clubs, posters, or mini campaigns. Encourage friends to care too. Feel confident being 'the eco warrior'.

  • Creatively

Draw animals or habitats. Make campaign posters. Invent their own Eco Hero characters or stories. Create games, comics, or role-play around saving nature.

  • Socially

Teach siblings or friends what they learned. Correct misinformation. Advocate in their own powerful way

Overtime, children develop environmental values that stick. They begin to see themselves as caretakers of the planet, not just users of it.

Ultimately, children begin to realise that despite being small, what they do matters... And that's HUGE!

Having an impact with local families

  • “We used the Tool Kits in our lunch club & youth sessions. We created a poster with bees & butterflies and pictures that the children took home with them using recycled packaging from the kitchen.

We loved the Kits because it enabled us to start conversations about the planet and the different species that we share it with.

The children are keen on doing their bit for the environment.”

  • “We focussed all of our craft around the Brilliant Blue Whale Kit at our May holiday clubs. In getting stuck into painting whales, making origami whales, playing whale trump cards etc, the families came away with a heightened awareness and concern of the plight of blue whales and the environment in general.

Kate has managed to do something extraordinary; to produce a pack that is both fun, and accessible as well as bringing home the concerns of our planet.”
