Plastic Free July GIVEAWAY

In recent years, the global awareness of plastic pollution has surged. As we navigate this crucial period of change, initiatives like Plastic Free July have emerged to reconsider their plastic consumption.

This July, in a collective effort to strengthen the message of sustainability, we are thrilled to announce the Plastic Free July Giant Giveaway, a collaboration between six pioneering eco-conscious brands: ecojiko, SNOAP, Lavender & Lemon, It's Our Planet Too, Know the Origin, and Holy Lama Naturals. Each of these brands is also proudly part of the Buy Women Built network, showcasing the power and innovation of women-led enterprises in driving positive environmental change.

Plastic Free July is a global movement that empowers individuals to be part of the solution to plastic pollution. This initiative challenges participants to refuse single-use plastics for the entire month of July, encouraging long-term habits that lead to a cleaner and healthier planet. By promoting alternatives to plastic products, Plastic Free July aims to reduce the staggering amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans, landfills, and natural environments. The month aims to fulfil a number of objectives:

1. Raising Awareness

Plastic Free July is a crucial platform for raising awareness about the universal issue of plastic pollution. By engaging people worldwide, the movement highlights the urgent need to address our reliance on single-use plastics and the devastating effects they have on ecosystems, wildlife and our oceans.

2. Encouraging Sustainable Habits

The challenge encourages individuals to adopt sustainable habits that extend beyond the month of July. Participants often find that the changes they make during this period, such as using reusable bags, bottles, reusable coffee cups, metal straws and food containers, become permanent fixtures in their lives. This shift in behaviour is essential for creating a long-lasting impact on the environment.

3. Fostering Community and Collaboration

Plastic Free July brings together a diverse community of individuals, organisations, and businesses united by a common goal. This sense of community fosters collaboration and innovation, leading to the development of new and creative solutions to reduce plastic waste.
